Thought I would drop you a line about the kind assistance your guys provided for me during the UK Mountain Mayhem 24 Hour MTB race. As you remember, the weather was absolutely foul with the track beginning with a mixture of surfaces like glue or ice under tyre and degrading to clingy deep mud.
After each pressure wash at the end of my laps, your two chaps gave my Trek a decent lube up. The result was flawless shifting through all the laps I did. The gear train didn’t miss a trick, unlike my riding style. Your stuff defiantly helped with our team result of 20th in the mixed teams out of 127 (even lube won't make my legs better but will keep my bike going).
Thanks to the two guys that cheerfully did the job, it was VERY VERY appreciated and the lube was also excellent.
I have included a picture of my boy Dan flying the flag with the water tattoo, which he also very much appreciated.
Thanks Guys,

I have been using ProLink Chain Lube for a year now, and I have been letting people know about your product if they ask me about that. I have been telling them that I like the product and I would highly recommend it to everyone that has a bike in anywhere. I live in Worland, Wyoming, where in the summer the weather can get up to 105 degrees and the weather in the winter can be down to 32 below zero, and I ride my bike from April until the end of October.

We met in a traffic jam on 75 a couple of weekends back. I was travelling to a race in St Petersburg and had several bikes on top of my car. I just wanted to say thank you for the chain lube you gave us, and I apoligize for this being so late. When you travel and race as much as we do, a lot of trash builds up in the car and things you thought you lost reappear after some light cleaning. Anyway, I love the chain lube, thank you. Also worth mentioning, I was down in Panama City Beach this weekend for the Gulf Coast Triathlon, and saw one of the vendors at the race expo selling your products.

It was a tight, old logging road, the width of double track. You could tell farmers led cows or horses through it, as there was manure here and there. I thought the first fire road was soft, but this was unbelievable. It seemed to last forever, but was probably only 3-4 kms long. Many sections you were better off dismounting and running through the thick, heavy mud. I’m glad that I had my shoes on tight because it was the type of mud that would suck your shoe off your foot. Later, after the race, I had heard how one racer got his bike so stuck in the mud that it took him and another rider to get it out. Riding behind geared riders I was glad that I chose to ride the single speed, as all you could hear where the grinding of drive trains, derailleurs clogging up and jamming and the odd profanity. I kept my cranks spinning smoothly with the help of Prolink Chain Lubricant – skipping and noise were not an issue.

The 12 Hours of Addison Oaks race was so muddy that myself and Chris Filipiak, Kona Midwest team managers, sent our solo racers Dan and Amanda out on freshly washed bikes each lap. After each wash, we loaded up the chains with ProLink, and I know this helped our racers be two of the few that did not break down on the trail or have chainsuck! Other teams wanted to know what chainlube we were using.

A long time ago I used a local Maryland product which was very similar to ProLink. When they went out of business I tried various products here and there; there was no "magic bullet" to satisfy my requirements. So off to Performance Bicycle I would go time and again to try the latest whiz-bang lube recommended by their latest sales clerk. Of course, depending on the current manufacturer's incentive, the "best" product would periodically change.
Then came ProLink. The rather inconspicuous bottle caught my eye. I reasoned that perhaps these people are putting their money into the product rather than the advertising. Boy was I right. The sales guy actually asked me if I had ever used it and was interested in people's opinions of it. I went back some weeks later & told him it was the best stuff for chains I have ever used. I have used the same chain on my bike now for the last two years and with no measurable wear! Unbelievable!
To be frank I tell everyone about ProLink and my chain. Hey—ignore my advice at your own peril!

The first time I pushed for the large chain ring after application
of ProLink, I pushed the chain right off the outside of the ring. Prior
to the ProLink application, I needed to apply extra effort just to get
the chain to shift chain rings. After I put the chain back on, and thereafter,
I needed only to apply the slightest pressure to get the chain to shift.
Shifting between the chain rings became so smooth and quiet, that I
had to keep looking down to assure myself that the shift was actually
successful. Amazing product.
Now I can't wait to get this stuff on my mountain bike as well. Thanks
for your help.

Excellent! ProLink is the best chain lube for riding in the dry hardpack
on Southern California!!
I've been using ProLink for at least 3 years. I'm fairly meticulous
about the chain (it's an often overlooked component on a bike). I clean
and lube it every two or three rides. With ProLink, I just brush the
dust off and apply ProLink takes me about 3 minutes. It really
quiets the chain, allows flawless shifting and I've had zero chain problems
in the past 3+ years.

Thanks. I love the chain lube. It was first recommended to me while
I was riding out in Moab by Chili Pepper bike shop. I race endurance
races and have found it to be long lasting and predictable in its ability
to stay around through all types of conditions.

I recently purchased your ProLink Chain Lube, which has worked wonders
on the chain of a 1979 bicycle that I am restoring. It was easy to use,
and the bicycle just glides along now. That ProLink is environmentally
friendly is a definite plus.

Almost 10 years ago Van surfed by my hobby website and left a message
in my guest book. Basically asking me if I would like to try a bottle
of chain lube. A couple of weeks later a small box showed up with a
little black bottle in it. I was using some lightwhitewax and was destroying
drive trains at the rate of two a year. Now I do race an average of
30 races a year and have been doing that for over 8 years. But I have
gone through less cassettes, chains, rigs, cables and cable housing
in the last six years of racing than in the first two years! Thank you
Van and the rest of the gang at ProGold, if not for you guys I probably
would have gotten too frustrated and would have quit by now. There is
no other lube like ProLink, and it is our number-one-asked-for lube
in the shop!! I have more stories about ProLink, ProGold, EPX, and my
new addiction 24 hour solo racing, but I have to get out now.

I have almost 9000 miles on a bicycle chain that has had nothing but
ProLink on it ever since it was new. And I have never ever taken off
the chain and cleaned it. I am ALL out of ProLink, so I eagerly await
the delivery of more. I want to see how many miles I can get out of
this chain when I use your product, and the chain has gotten too dry!

I had to write to tell you how your products have performed for our
team. At the NBL Grand National in September of 2002, we were introduced
to your company thru a demonstration and free bike cleaning and lube.
Since then, it is the ONLY lubrication that we use. Your ProLink Chain
Lube and ProGold EPX Grease have made our BMX Racing a much more pleasant
experience. For those of us in the Northeast, this has been a very wet
and muddy season. I can't count the number of races that have been affected
by Mother Nature. Your products have been a lifesaver! The chain lube
sheds water and dirt like no other! When the rest of the bike is covered
in mud, the chain and drive gears are not. I have been in this sport
since 1987, and have NEVER seen anything like it. I only wish I had
discovered it sooner!
We have 28 riders on our team, and they all love your products. I tell
everyone about your products, and when someone outside our teams asks
if I have any lube they can use, boy, do they get an earful.
We are proud to have you as one of our co-sponsors and look forward
to a long, dry and dirt-free relationship!

I just want to let you know how impressed I am with your product. For
years I have been frustrated with chain lubes, especially on my mountain
bike. The lube either would attract dirt, or it would be waxy and wouldn't
work. (I can't stand a creaky chain.) Then I heard of your product and,
frankly, it sounded like one of those late-night infomercials ("the
XXXX knife slices and dices and never needs sharpening it is
the last knife you will ever need!!!"). But it really works.
The ability of your chain "treatment" to keep my mountain
bike chain lubed and silent, without attracting grit and without the
grease build-up, and its ability to prolong chain life is remarkable.
So few things in life live up to their hype, but this is one.

First of all, I want to thank you again for taking the time to speak
at length with me about ProLink. Since our conversation, I have ridden
well over 500 miles, and the difference ProLink has made is remarkable,
to say the least. Even after the initial application, there was a noticeable
difference in my drivetrain's performance. It only took a few revolutions
to realize this stuff was in a class all its own!
Twice in the past three weeks, I have been caught in severe thunderstorms,
and have been forced to ride on flooded bike paths. To my amazement,
pedaling was actually smoother after one of the storms! It seems the
heavy rain washed off all the junk ProLink flushed out of my chain,
but not the lubricant itself. In the past, getting caught in a storm
meant cleaning my drivetrain and chain, then re-lubricating everything
before my next ride. Determined to test Pro Link's water resistance,
I decided to bypass any further lubrication, and see how long it would
take for my chain to become noisy. Never happened! I rode another 100
miles without having to re-lubricate my chain. In fact, I only did so
before a very long (4-hour) ride, just to be safe!
Based on my experiences, I have become somewhat of an informal spokesperson
for your product. I know of at least four acquaintances who have
made the switch over the past two weeks. But the one I am most
proud off is a riding buddy of mine, an older gentleman who routinely
neglects lubricating the chain on his Colnago bike (with a Campy Record
drivetrain!). When I told him about ProLink, he accused me of trying
to sell him snake oil. So, just as I did with other riding buddies,
I treated his chain with ProLink, and later went for a ride. A
mile later, this guy could not believe just how smooth his drivetrain
felt. He said he only topped 30 mph twice the year before, but realized
he was riding at 31 mph. I reminded him that we rode up a
pretty steep hill into a strong head wind. He surpassed
30 mph a few more times that day, and now he is in the process
of getting a new chain and treating it with ProLink!
Thanks for a truly great product!
Sincerely,
Miguel Kercado

Dear ProGold,
Last summer a friend and I took a two-month 900 mile independent bicycle
trip through southern and southwestern China. During our trip we faced
rain, sleet and snow, and unpaved and barely paved roads. Some days
we saw numerous vehicles, some days we were the only ones on the road.
We passed herds of yaks and trucks stuck up to their axels in mud, and
outran semi-wild dogs. Through all of our trip we only used Prolink
chain lube and EPX cycle grease. Prolink kept our chains running smooth
and clean. When we did have to clean them, we simply applied Prolink,
wiped the chain clean and applied fresh Prolink. Using Prolink, we had
one less thing to worry about on our trip. Thanks for manufacturing
such a great product.

I'd like to THANK the PRO LINK team for a great time at the NBL Grand
Nationals in Louisville KY last weekend. To Van, Al, and Doug....really
appreciate the hard work and the dedicated service you guys provided
to me and my Virginia riders. Genuine back home friendly customer service
and an absolute great bunch of friends. I'm proud to be the NBL National
Announcer, but just as proud to advertise your product and make it just
a little more fun for KIDs. Great product and great people.
Keep up the great work! Special thanks to "pretty lips."
Thanks again to PROLINK....

I started using ProLink Chain Lube after it was given to us free at
a women's mountain bike clinic. I thought it worked so well, that I
ordered more after my bottle ran out and when I called the 800 number
to place my order, I found out how friendly everyone is at ProGold and
decided to see if they would be interested in helping out our team by
sending us some lube. They did and now I never hear anymore about anyone's
chain being gunked up with mud because ProLink is simply incredible
at keeping our chains clean and rideable. Thanks for the great service
too!

Keeps the drive trains running silky smooth in all types of conditions!
But it's not just for breakfast kids use it on your cables, pedals
and threads, anywhere that metal contacts metal and viola! No squeak,
eek or creak! Thanks to ProLink for keeping me on the trails and not
in the shop replacing chains due to the maelstrom of climate changes
in the Ohio region.

I have been using Pro Link Chain Lube on my mountain and road bikes
for about 18 months and I have found it to be the best chain lube that
I have ever used. As you advertise there is no build up of dirt and
it doesn't wash off in wet weather. It leaves the chain absolutely spotless.
Thanks for a great product. The only problem I have is that only a select
number of cycle stores stock it and sometimes I have to get it from
interstate but it is worth it.

I've used them all, wet, dry, waxed self cleaning, you name it, even
motor oil with graphite. Nothing has ever impressed me for its longevity,
cleanliness, and extension of chain life like ProLink Chain Lube with
MFR (Metal Friction Reducer) technology. I apply it 1/4 as often as
any other lube and yet my chains last 3 to 5 times longer than it ever
has. And it's clean! How does it work? I have no idea, I just know I
can't afford not to use it.

Every year I ride over 5,000 commuter miles in all kinds of weather.
ProLink and PG2000 are easy to apply, keep my drive train running smooth,
and helps fight corrosion from road salt and grit. If these great lubes
work for me at 20 degrees, they will work for you!

Bottom line, folks, is that this is the best lube I've EVER used. I
normally ride about 150 miles per week, and find I only have to relube
every 300 miles or so. I gave up on Ice Wax and Dry Lube, and White
Lightning simply made a gummy mess. ProLink stuff really penetrates
the link pins, so much so that I actually had to readjust the rear derailleur!
It flushes out all that old gunked-up lube and keeps the chain shiny.
I'll never have to clean the chain again because it's now self-cleaning!
No problems with grit and the chain shifts smoother than ever before.
The pulleys stay nice and clean, too.
The lube does smell a bit at first, but not after it dries. It will
take one ride to fully flush out the old lube, then lube it one more
time and wipe...that's it.
My saddle started squeaking...no more :-) My NEW Look pedals started
squeaking, too! After applying the lube, the spring mechanism freed-up
so cleat entry was like silk. I shouldn't have had this problem with
NEW pedals.
So, sports fans, stop buying-up what's "popular" in the stores and
get what WORKS!

I just received my first purchase of ProLink chain lube and wanted
to let you know that this stuff does everything you claim. I tried out
the cable luber on my old second bike and it was like I put on a new
set of cables! I have since been running the chain lube on my primary
mountain bike and my drivetrain is the quietest it's ever been. I am
also impressed with how clean the product runs in off road conditions.
I had previously been using a wax based product which ran very clean
but only lasted about 1-2 rides. I have about 4 rides on my bike with
the ProLink and it does not show any indication of needing re-application
yet. Thanks for making such a great product and I will plant the seed
with my local bike shop to look into stocking your product.

ProGold has all the right stuff taking me into the next Millennium.
I use the ProLink Chain Lube for my drivetrain and the ProGold Cable
Luber for the cables, V-brake system, and brake levers on my Mountain
Bike. To be competitive at the next racing level in Germany, you must
go out in rain, mud and snow if you are serious about your results.
During rainy rides in the mud and grit after applying ProLink as directed,
I do not experience the Ghost Shifts I have with other lubes. There
is no more Gumming up of wax or oils for grit to stick to on my chain
as with the other lubes. I don't experience stiff links anymore while
riding in temperature below freezing. During application I can see and
feel the grit being removed from my chain. All I need to do after a
long ride is rinse the chain off and reapply link by link and I am ready
for the next ride, no longer needing extra chain cleaning solvents and
cleaners.
Thanks for making life easier, now I spend use less effort cleaning
my drivetrain and more time riding. No longer are rides cut short due
to mishaps with the drivetrain.

How are you guys doing down there in Georgia? Just thought I would
send you an update. Having used ProLink on my bike chain for a while
now. I'm more impressed than ever! Did some real muddy spring New England
biking, and one creek submergence and still the chain is clean and doesn't
grind, how does this work? Why is everyone not using this stuff? My
friends are hooked. Sorry I bought enough to give them a supply, but
sooner or later they'll run out. I'm still pushing these people at Wheelworks
to start carrying your product, will bring them in a sample and make
them actually use it. Once you use it your sold. Thanks again, love
the stuff. Snake oil is it?

I have only been using ProGold for a short period of time, but I have
had great results. Just before leaving on a 1,000-mile bike tour in
New Zealand, I put a new chain on my road bike and applied the product
according to the manufacturer's directions. The ProGold worked great.
I even rode through a thunderstorm without reapplying the product the
next day. I only reapplied ProGold twice during the trip.
Since I got back from the trip I have decided to use ProGold in my
chain cleaner. It works great. The brushes clean away any dirt that
may have accumulated from the road and the chain gets lubed at the same
time. The thing that has surprised me the most is how quiet the chain
is because the product is surprisingly viscous.
I have also used ProGold on my fixed gear bike. I have only applied
the product once and I have ridden several hundred miles. It has been
very impressive.
I am very pleased with this product!

I am a certified Mech. And cross country MTB racer. This is my life.
I sometimes get into a groove as far as shop maintenance goes. You know,
certain tools, cables, lubes that sort of thing. I placed my weekly
order from Quality and picked up some ProGold chain lubricant. Sorry
White Lightning, Finish Line and Pedro's, you are now victims of the
round file! Your product looks like oil, soaks into the rollers, gets
between the side plates, but will not collect dirt, build up or go away!!!???
Anyway, now all my service bikes get to feel the love.

Howdy!
I received my ProLink package yesterday. Lubed the chain on my road
racer (Trek Y-Foil 77 with Dura-Ace components), then lubed the pivot
points on the derailleurs. Let's just say it was a night-and-day transformation.
I can't hear the driveline anymore, shifting action is much smoother,
and an annoying chain skip problem under load had disappeared. So I'm
hooked.
If you ever want a testimonial, let me know. Also, I don't official
do any marketing consulting anymore, but if you ever want to bounce
some ideas around, give me a call.

I applied your ProLink bicycle chain lube and have done a few dusty,
muddy rides. THIS STUFF IS AMAZING. My drivetrain gleams. Never been
so impressed with a lube product. I have been riding and racing for

Your company is on the verge of changing the bicycle lube market forever.
I will tell all my friends and bring my bike to all the bike shops in
